Privacy Policy for Dream Journal

This Privacy Policy describes how Dream Journal ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and discloses information when you use our mobile application (the "dApp"). We follow the principle of data minimization and are transparent about what little data the dApp touches.

2. Information We Collect

The dApp is designed to keep your data on your device. We collect only what is necessary for the dApp to function:

  • Device Information: Basic technical information (device model, OS version) may be processed to ensure the WebView renders correctly.
  • Blockchain Data: To provide wallet features, your public wallet address and on-chain transaction history are read from the Solana blockchain. This data is public by design of the blockchain and is not stored in any private database.
  • Content You Create: Decks, plans, stories, journals, and other content you create in the dApp are stored locally on your device. They are not transmitted to us.
  • Usage Data: Anonymous, aggregated technical logs may be processed to improve app performance and stability.

    • 3. Legal Basis for Processing

    Depending on Turkey law and applicable data protection legislation (which may include the GDPR if you are in the EEA), we process data on the following bases:

  • Performance of a Contract: To provide the services you requested.
  • Legitimate Interests: To operate, secure, and improve the dApp.
  • Consent: Where required, we will ask for your explicit consent before processing.
  • Legal Obligation: To comply with applicable laws.

    • 4. Third-Party Services

    The dApp may use third-party services (for example, public Solana RPC providers and the Solana Mobile Wallet Adapter). These providers are obligated to comply with the Solana Mobile Publisher Policy and applicable data protection laws. We do not sell your personal data.

    5. Data Security

    We implement industry-standard security practices to protect the dApp and any data processed, including encryption in transit and secure wallet-connection flows. Because content is stored locally, it is protected by your device's own security.

    6. Your Rights and Data Deletion

    Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, rectify, or erase personal data, restrict processing, and object to processing.

  • Data Deletion: To request deletion of any data we may hold about you, please email jasonhuang3@proton.me. We will respond within 30 days, unless retention is required by law for fraud prevention or regulatory compliance.
  • Local Data: Content stored on your device can be deleted at any time by removing the app or clearing its local storage.

    • 7. Minors

    The dApp is intended for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with data, contact us at jasonhuang3@proton.me and we will delete it.

    8. International Transfers

    If personal data is transferred outside your country or region, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as standard contractual clauses where required.

    9. Changes to This Policy

    We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy within the dApp and update the "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the dApp after changes constitutes acceptance.
